Nissan Maxima 40th Anniversary Edition

Nissan Maxima 40th Anniversary Edition

Nissan is honoring the 2021 Nissan Maxima with 40th-anniversary edition after four decades of production making it the longest continuing running Nissan nameplate in the states. In 1981 the Datsun 810 was rebranded as Maxima and till now it’s been on the same name.

The special model is built on the Platinum trim level featuring two-tone Ruby Slate Gray Pearl exterior, black roof, 40th anniversary badging, 19-inch black alloy wheels, and black exhaust tips. In the inside of 2021 Maxima, it features red semi-aniline leather seats with 40th-anniversary crave on seats, red contrast interior stitching, satin dark chrome trim, and white speedometer and tachometer faces inspired by its siblings.

Just like the 2020 model the 40th Anniversary Edition gets a 3.5-liter V6 producing 300 horsepower and 261 LB-FT of torque, mated to standard Xtronic continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that sends power to the front wheels. The 40th Anniversary Edition Maxima will offer SV, SR, and Platinum trims; this means that the current model S, SL, and Platinum Reserve trims will not be carried forward to 2021 models and it’s obvious that the pricing will increase.

Nissan said that pricing and specification for all 2021 Maxima models, including this 40th Anniversary Edition, will be announced later closer to the 2021 model’s on-sale date.
